Last year this match involved both Varsity and JV, and was delayed once by a terrible (yet awesome) thunderstorm. This year its just a home JV match, one that provides some great competition to our team, something they haven't really seen since the Northridge match.
Last year Westview's JV beat us 11-0. Westview's varsity only graduated one player, which means their JV remains basically unchanged. While certainly 11-0 looks intimidating, the most lopsided of these matches was 8-3. Infact, of the 11 matches, only 3 were decided by more than 3 games. So we were certainly competitive, we simply couldn't pull out any wins.
This year I expect us to walk away with several wins. I think that we are also a deeper JV this year, returning a lot of players and replacing lost players with talented freshman. There should be no reason for us to come out confident, aggressive, and like we want to play.
