Player Profiles - Coach Matt

So we're going to do player profiles, a new one every day until I run out. After they've been run as a feature on the page, we'll move them to each person's individual page, where their records are and such.

So we'll start with me, because I'm the one who runs the blog. Feel free to leave comments and make fun of me.

What is...
your graduation year: 1999 (from Angola)
your personal goal this season: Coach the team to a sectional championship
your best shot in tennis: Serve
your worst shot in tennis: Overhead
your favorite tennis match you've played (and why): vs. Matt Taylor, MCC Conference Tournament in 2001. He was the number one seed and undefeated on the season. The match got moved indoors where there were only 5 courts on which to play all the matches (9 positions, 4 matches each bracket). So I got put on an end court with nobody watching. Then I took the first set 6-0, and word got around that I was taking down the undefeated top seed. Everybody started coming by to watch, and was cheering for me because I was the underdog. It was awesome. Except that I lost, 7-6 in the second set then 6-4 in the third.
your favorite tennis memory (and why): winning this year over Fairfield, coming back from an 0-5 loss the week before and being down 0-2 in that match.
your favorite "Night Out" story (and why): Jeremy going through the car wash
your favorite book of the Bible: Exodus
your favorite restaurant to eat at after a match: Pizza King
your favorite sport besides tennis: Basketball

your favorite men's tennis player: Bob and Mike Bryan (love me them doubles)
your "role model": Mi papa.
your favorite doubles partner: on our team? Daniel
the person you'd most want to play doubles with out of anyone in history: Jesus, I really wonder whether he was good at tennis.
your most likable opponent: as a coach, Mike Filbrun from Fairfield, as a player, the guy I beat from Howe Military in Sectionals my junior year
the funniest team member: Ben Mast?
the quietest team member: Harrison.
the hardest-working team member: Luke, Jonny, Daniel...
the team member who would make the best coach: Luke? Daniel?

do you want to do post-High School: Teach and coach tennis
do you eat for breakfast: Right now, nothing. Usually, cereal. On bad days, donuts.
