Season Preview: Overall Analysis

Part One: Schedule Overview
Part Two: Singles
Part Three: Doubles
Part Four: Overall Analysis

As I read through the previews of singles and doubles, it was interesting to think where we might put in ourselves.

Where do our returning singles rank? We return (between Ben Mast and Seth Krabill) a #1 singles position that went 12-8 last year, a #2 singles position that went 16-4, and several possibilities at #3 singles, including Blake Shetler who stepped in and played solid #3 singles at the end of last season.

And doubles? We return Kyle Miller from #1 doubles, who went 13-7 last year. Then we return Russell Klassen from #2 doubles, that went 12-8 last year. Key returners at both positions.

Not only that, the real exciting news are the new players coming up from our JV that finished last season by taking 3rd in a difficult JV tournament, consisting of the Northern Lakes Conference teams and us. Matt Ebersole, Evan Grimes, and Nate.. all who have worked real hard during the offseason.

And that's the thing. I know that we worked hard throughout the year. I don't know what every body else did. It's so hard to predict the season when you just don't know what all the other teams are doing.

But hey, we can't control what other teams do. We can only control what we do. And so we will be good. We will gain knowledge. We will show self-control. We will battle. We will strive to have the right priorities. We will be brothers in love.

We will work hard. We will play with confidence.

If we do these things, our talent level is high. Our work ethic is good. Our team will be good.

Really good.
