Letters from Jimtown Invite

Dear Team,
It seems like you played extremely well. I know that we came in second place, just barely losing out to NorthWood. But score watching isn't what we do at Bethany Christian tennis. Instead, we focus on how we play. And according to Seth, you were able to "find your joy" in these matches.

I like that phraseology, "Finding your joy." I think Seth made it up, but it captures so well what I've been trying to say throughout the season. Play tennis the way that makes you happy. Then play that way with passion, focus and energy. That makes tennis so much fun.

Looking over the scores, I found lots of reasons to smile. With Bryce unable to play for the rest of the season, I was glad to see him go out with two good wins. Lane Miller and Brandon Nguyen dominated the day at doubles, earning three victories while playing some together and some apart. Most of our freshman picked up victories as well.

Hopefully you are beginning to find your joy in the tennis season. As you do, remember to carry that spirit, that joy, that smile back to your teammates. I can't wait to get back to spending time with all of you!
