One topic of conversation on this "pleasant" Saturday was how much better Chris has become since the beginning of the year. His shots have become more consistent and he is even finding himself able to attack and hit some winners now that he has more control. In his doubles match, Chris had a killer return. In a crucial game, with the score at 4-3 and Joel Yoder serving, Chris moved forward to hit a forehand return. He stepped into the perfect spot to strike the ball right at the perfect contact point. The ball sailed over the net at a great crosscourt angle, tagging down just inside the singles line. With his body moving forward, he also had enough weight on the ball for it to skip away quickly before Joel had moved up to it. It was a return winner for Chris, a great shot to remember.
