We competed this summer against seven different Michigan high schools, all in the southwest region of the state. Several of them had been coming off successful seasons (Berrien Springs had won their conference, Bridgman qualified for the state tournament) and several have big hopes for this coming season.

Wait...what was going on with doubles against Niles?
ReplyDeleteWell, against Niles, good old Berkey Avenue youth group took about 9 of our players on a mission trip (which I'm actually in total support of) and so we had to fill our ranks from among the soccer players. They didn't do too bad though!
