Things I'm Thankful For
For Matt Ebersole's shoes,
for Evan Grime's ninja overheads against Penn,
for Blake Shetler's deadly combination of Biblical singing ability and hide-and-go-seeking expertise,
for Russell Klassen's desire to be the Bleeding Bruin Blue athlete of the week (okay, so he was UNDEFEATED),
for Seth Krabill's red face when I mention he went UNDEFEATED and dominated #2 singles JV this year,
for Kyle Miller's irrational declarations of love and hate against seemingly innocent people,
for Ben Mast's second JV MVP season in a row,
for Misha and Nick's intimidating real names (Mihailo and Slavko),
for Misha and Nick's rapidly improving tennis games (most improved JV),
for Claude Stickler's enthusiasm for creative and unorthodox tennis shots,
for Jake Gerig's affinity for slicing the ball,
for Austin Louck's hard work throughout this offseason and last,
for Mikey Kelly's booming serve and self belief,
for Jared Schwartzentruber's incredible turnaround season (19-1 in his last 20 matches!),
for Johnny Kauffman's quick recovery from serious injury,
for Daniel Buschert's unending quest for tennis beyond knowledge,
for Justin Gregor's occasional drop ins at tennis practice,
for Jeremy Thomas's choice to play his best tennis of the year at the end of the year,
for Luke Hostetter's quiet leadership and long distance running,
for Matthew Amstutz's quick sense of humor and fostering of community (oh, and his UNDEFEATED season),
for Jonny Shenk's deep desire to be the best in what he does,
for Andrew Lanctot's wife actually being a real person and inspiring our victories,
for a Sectional championship,
for a Wayne Tourney championship,
for a JV undefeated season,
for a victory over Penn,
for the love of all of my brothers,
for these things and many more...
Lord, I am so thankful!
