Celebrating the Stats of 2013 Season


Varsity Team
- 15-5
- 75% winning percentage as a team
- 1 tournament championship (Wabash)
- defeated two conference champions (Taylor, Triton)
- defeated a sectional champion (Taylor)
- all 5 losses to teams with winning records
- 3 of 5 losses to teams that won Sectionals (Fairfield x2, Concord)
(and our other two losses we shouldn’t have lost ;-)

JV Team
- 16-1-2
- defeated the NLC JV Conference champion
- 4 players broke the record for most wins in a JV season (w/Ethan setting the new mark at 17)
- 2nd place at 2 tourneys (both missing one player when we finished there)
- 2 varsity victories (Laville, Howe)

Individuals
- Jesse with #2S championship (Merrillville)
- Byeong undefeated JV season
- Byeong and Ethan set new record for single season JV wins (17)
- Simon would have tied the old record (16) with Ryan Duckworth only 1 behind (15)
- Joel and Hans new record for #1D wins
- Joel and Hans advanced to the Individual Sectional
- The amount of people who improved their records (V - Parth, Landon, Jesse, Joel and Hans & JV - Ethan, Justin, Neel, Jack, Paul, Ryan)

New Records
- Abe Thorne ties for most career tiebreakers won (12)
- Joel Gerig and Abe Thorne are 3rd for most 3rd sets won (5)
- Landon Weldy ties for 3rd for most matches won in first varsity season (14)
- Joel, Abe and Parth are at 16th, 17th, and 19th on the career varsity victories list (Hans at 14)
- Joel Gerig ends his career with a 68% winning percentage (12th)

Remarkable Memories
- Team camp breakfast with the freshman
- Team camp discussion with the upperclassmen
- Jesse’s first week of the season, defeating Goshen & Jimton in 3 sets and clinching Northridge match
- Abe’s 10 point tiebreaks (10-2 over Howdeshell, 10-0 at Wabash)
- Joel and Hans throughout the year, last point against Fairfield (clipping the net and falling over)
- Joel and Hans match against NorthWood, the incredible strength of belief
- Daniel and Paul’s win over NorthWood to seal that match win for us
- The incredible JV play in the win over Fairfield (Jackson and Daniel sealing the match for us)
- Byeong’s match at #1S against Fremont
- The unfortunate Merrillville tournament (Parth couldn’t come, stacking at #3S, disappointing loss to Triton)
- The Wabash championship (especially the play of Jesse and Sol that day)
- And little things, like our practices outside the courts
